ABOUT US

Some of the most unique Colombian coffees are produced in the Southwestern province of Nariño.  We believe the most salient factors in Nariño to enable the top quality specialty beans are: first the artisan approach to the coffee process, where every step of the process is handmade; second the small coffee farms, which frequently allow the coffee growers and their families to dedicate time and care to the micro lots; third, the influence of volcanic soils and finally the distinct temperatures swing (day to night) associated with the influence of  southern trade winds which enhances the slow evolution of sugars in the beans.

Our coffee crops and those of the neighboring micro-growers are located in the Northern part of the Southwestern province (Departamento) of Nariño in Colombia, South America, in mountains up to 2,000 meters above sea level (6,000ft).

We believe in light roasting general.  This brings the best of our coffee beans to the cup in terms of their distinct citric acidity, sugarcane-syrup aroma and sweetness, medium body, and pleasantly persistent aftertaste.
